He qualified as a Solicitor in 1984 and was an equity partner in his then firm from 1986 until 1998. He subsequently joined this firm and has specialised in all aspects of Family Law and Matrimonial work (although he still continues to deal with some commercial and residential landlord and tenant disputes, a previous specialism)
He is a Governor of a school for children with specific learning difficulties
